Chief Housing & Commercial Officer

Dimensions is a large and complex organisation supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, including people with complex needs. We enable thousands of people to have greater choice and control over their lives. The people we support, and their families are at the heart of everything we do, and we want every one of them to have a great life with excellent outcomes.

In line with our determination to develop and grow Dimensions, we are looking to appoint a Chief Housing and Commercial Officer to our Executive Team. We are one of the largest providers of support in England and Wales, our executive team plays a crucial role in ensuring that Dimensions continues to thrive, and to deliver our strategy of Better Lives for More People. Operating in a highly regulated environment, our Executive Team works in conjunction with our Board to develop and deliver our Vision and Strategy.

This is a broad leadership role which takes ultimate responsibility for Housing, Business Development, Marketing, Communications, and Public Affairs. Dimensions is committed to ensuring that the people we support have homes they can be proud to live in. Our desire to grow is entirely driven by a desire to support more people and to deliver great outcomes in high quality homes.  To support more people, we need to retain existing contracts and win new ones by having a high functioning business development team. In line with our values, we aim to be exemplar and a leader within the sector. We work hard to develop a ‘Louder Voice’, enabling the people we support and their families to raise the issues that matter to them and to add value to the sector beyond our boundaries. The teams you will lead in Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs play a key role in making this happen.

You will take the executive lead with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH), and will also need to understand, embrace and be excited by the provision of supported living and person-centred support. You will have a detailed understanding of how business is retained and developed in social care. You are likely to have experience of leading large multi-disciplinary teams, in a complex organisation. You won't necessarily have led all of these functions before but will understand their strategic importance in a large social care provider. As a leader you will manage and develop the careers of your teams, ensuring that they are highly competent and able to deliver in all areas.

Most importantly, you will share our values and commitment for providing high-quality, person-centred support. You will be driven to use the skills and experience you have developed both professionally and personally to play a key role in the leadership of Dimensions. You will join a talented, focused and determined Leadership Team and help us to continue to ensure that the people we support are at the heart of all the decisions we make.

To reflect our ambition and commitment to be more representative at a senior  level, we particularly encourage and welcome applications from people with a disability, people from minority ethnic backgrounds, and people from the LGBTQ+ community.
